You’ve arrived at the online home of Abbey Runners, the north Leeds club for runners of all abilities and all ages. Abbey Runners has something for every runner: our members take part in road running, cross-country, fell, trail and triathlon.
We meet twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 7:30pm) to run and train in ability-based groups for about an hour. For those new to running we have Beginners groups that meet on Tuesdays (7:30pm). We also have a thriving Juniors Section which meets on a Monday at 6:00pm. We also stage several races each year including the Abbey Dash and the Eccup 10, as well as the Golden Acre Relay, the Anniversary Fell Race and the Rombalds Romp.
So whether you want to get fit or fitter, train hard or train harder, or if you just want a social, friendly run with like-minded people, why not come and try Abbey Runners. For more information, use the Contacts page to get in touch with our Membership Secretary
You may still score long race points up to the end of November. If your long race points haven’t been included, it is probably because you haven’t sent a link to the results of your race to Mark Hetherington (M.S.Hetherington@leeds.ac.uk). Please make sure this is done before the end of November for the points to be added. There is only one designated race left in which you can score points: the first PECO XC of the season (short, XC on Sun 30th November).[...]

Abbey Runners has decided to target a local Parkrun 5k on the second Saturday of every month, rotating around the three main Parkruns in Leeds and then targeting a different one every 4th month. The aim is to get more Abbey Runners together at these fun, free races. It is good speed training and also encourages people that are new to racing to have a go at a 5k! Good turnout this weekend - well done everyone 5 Duncan CLARK 19:17 VM50-54 6 Luke WRAY-ROGER[...]
