Training Schedules
Club Runs take place every Tuesday evening meeting at Adel War Memorial Association sports and social club
Location map here
Meeting time is at 7:20 for a 7:30 departure running in organised groups
New joiners: It is suggested that runners new to the club arrive 10 minutes earlier and come inside the club entrance to meet us and find out who to run with.
Clothing and equipment: Road runners should wear clothing with High Visibility strips during the winter months when we will be running in the dark. Road groups also do some trail running in spring, summer and autumn months, but road or trail shoes are typically fine for the local trail terrain.
Off Road and Fell runners need to wear suitable clothing and bring required equipment.

Please note:
- Groups can set off together and should stay together, meeting at appropriate intervals to allow everyone to catch up. Groups can split part way around a club run provided this is agreed explicitly at a meeting point and groups do not become fragmented or risk losing runners.
- All runners to be courteous to other users of Adel War Memorial facilities and please ALWAYS leave a gangway to get past us.
- Faster group members s generally know each other anyway and so a fixed meeting point is less critical but it will help if they keep clear of the formation of the less rapid groups so we don’t confuse beginners or runners with less confidence,.
| Thursday Speed Sessions (May & June 2013) | |
|
The track costs £4 per session. Now that the lighter evenings are here, we will return to holding sessions on the fields at Bodington and Bedquilts (for which we will meet at the club) every other week. When we are running on the fields, you should consider the possibility of things getting a little bit muddy and select your footwear accordingly! On the alternate weeks, we will run an ‘Intervals or Reps’ session on the track (meet at the track). All sessions will start at 7.30pm prompt: please meet at 7.20pm |
