We walk, talk-coach, jog and run for up to 30 minutes and are trying to provide an almost one to one support for our beginners.

Abbey Runners meet every week at 7.20pm (for a prompt 7.30pm start) on a Tuesday night at the Adel War Memorial Club ( map ).

We generally split up into about 4/5 groups and run for about 1 hour, catering for all abilities: from a 4 mile jog to 9-10 mile hard run or reps.

Abbey Runner Grand Prix Race: Bluebell Trail 10 mile (category: medium/trail) @ Halifax, West Yorkshire

Sunday 4th May 2014 at 10am.

A 10.3 mile multi-terrain race through woodland, canal towpaths, tracks, trails, cobbled streets and the beautiful bluebell woods in the heart of Yorkshire. With its ups & downs and unique river crossing you’re guaranteed to finish with a splash in this race of true Yorkshire grit.

 £100 prize to the first male or female to break the official course record! Andi Jones holds the current course record standing at 59:17

Jo BuckA fast tour of Coiner’s country on paths, tracks and moorland, taking in Erringden Moor, Stoodley Pike and Bell House Moor. The route offers spectacular views of Cragg Vale and passes by the old coiners cottages of Bell House and Keelam.

What shall I carry? Full waterproof taped seam body cover, map, compass, whistle and emergency food must be carried no kit, no run! The route will be flagged, but runners will remain responsible for following the route and for their own safety
